Book Ministry Teaching

Creation to Christ Book Ministry

Teaching and discipleship training continues to be a major focus of IAM’s work.  Over the years we have established ministries and developed relationships with pastors throughout the country.  We regularly receive requests for new book ministry training from pastors with whom we have worked in the past.  IAM’s goal is to expand our ministry with these pastors and with new churches in 2016!

Shalom Medical Center

Shalom Medical Center

IAM's clinic opened in October of 2014 and is serving the community of Rakai District in southwest Uganda.  The doctors at Shalom witness God’s faithfulness, provision, and loving kindness on a daily basis. We have heard amazing testimonies of healing that have occurred during this past year. Dr. Dan and Dr. Roy both provide mobile medical care in the homes of the elderly and extremely poor in the villages.  They are often called out in the dark of night and always respond to the sick and needy. IAM appreciates our staff for their tireless and selfless work in serving the poor and vulnerable.

Upcoming Outreach December 2015

Outreach Opportunities and Benevolence Ministry

In addition to the Creation to Christ book ministry and the Shalom Medical Center, IAM is frequently called on to provide additional medical services, food, and evangelical outreach to fellow Ugandans.  This year’s largest outreach will be taking place in early December in a “returnee” camp that is only 16 miles from the Shalom Clinic.  These Ugandans living in the poor conditions of the camp are displaced, malnourished, and sick. For two days in December the doctors will examine the sick and provide free medication, clothing, and food.
Donations are currently being accepted for this outreach and can be mailed to Imagine Acts Ministry, 9209 Hilltrace Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA. 70809

PRAISE FOR THE LORD'S GOODNESS!

"IT IS GOOD TO GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD,
AND TO SING PRAISES TO YOUR NAME, O MOST HIGH.
TO DECLARE YOUR LOVINGKINDNESS IN THE MORNING,
AND YOUR FAITHFULNESS EVERY NIGHT.

FOR YOU, LORD, HAVE MADE ME GLAD BY WHAT YOU HAVE DONE;
I WILL SING FOR JOY AT THE WORKS OF YOUR HANDS.'

SHALOM MEDICAL CENTER, RAKAI, UGANDA

SHALOM MEDICAL CENTER OPENS OCTOBER 1, 2014!!

IMAGINE ACTS MINISTRY JOYFULLY TESTIFIES OF THE LORD'S GUIDANCE, FAITHFULNESS AND PROVISION TOWARDS THIS NEW PROJECT OF MINISTRY AND WORK IN UGANDA.

In late 2013, IAM began to prepare with Dr. Dan Douglas and IAM administrator, Henry Lutwama to open a medical clinic in southwest Uganda with a mission of bringing the reality of God's love and goodness through medical and evangelical work.

Shalom Medical Center opened its main clinic October of 2014 and a new maternity wing with 3 in-patient rooms, along with the delivery and exam room, in March of 2015.
Bernie Boudreaux, Becky Miller, and Diane Garbo have been over several  times since 2013 visiting Rakai District and planning for IAM's on-going book ministry and new medical mission.  Bernie and Becky were in Uganda in March and participated in the opening of the new wing.

Shalom Medical Center currently has a staff of six: two doctors, one nurse, a laboratory technician, a mid-wife, and Administrator.   We also employ a day worker and a night security guard.

In March, Becky and Bernie took sheets, blankets, baby receiving blankets and other medical supplies on their trip to Shalom to ready the new wing for opening.  Beds were purchased, delivered and assembled by Bernie and the guys.  We then transferred the  first in-patient, Mary, into the new wing.

On this trip, Bernie designed an incinerator to be built in rear of clinic.  It is extremely necessary to dispose of contaminated and used medical supplies.

Bernie's excellent drawing!

Contractor's version looked more like a rocket ship!! But it is working and doing the job!

Becky got to receive some special, although certainly unplanned, medical care after running into the edge of a metal window frame in the rear of the clinic.  I was the first American treated in the clinic and I can testify to the  excellent care!!

I stood outside until the doctor came.  I surely didn't want to drip blood onto our floor!
